Candy Trains with Grandma

Brian's family has a tradition from when they were kids. They get all sorts of candy bars, chocolates, licorice whips for tracks, gum drops, etc. and make candy trains for neighbors and friends. They would all get together and make a bunch of trains, then as a family deliver them. I was introduced to this when we were first married and had a lot of fun with it. There is a very specific process to put them together and they turn out soooo cute! This tradition is still going on over at Grandmas house. This year she bagged everything that we would need and handed them out to everyone at their family Christmas on Saturday. So, living as close to her as we do, my kids got to learn how to make them from the expert. Here they are making their own candy trains.....
Dawson looks really nice and innocent here, just observing, but Grandma said that him and Emmy kept stealing the candy that they needed for the trains. They were very kindly excused from the room and distracted with other things. :-)
