Aislyn and Scissors!!!!!!

Well, Aislyn has moved on from cutting Barbies' hair to cutting her own, her brothers, his pajamas, his pillows, etc. Tonight Aislyn got a hold of some scissors and had quite a time with them. I can't believe how quickly major destruction can happen when a 4 year old has a pair of scissors. I checked on them and saw how good they were playing, so I decided to go get some blogging done. Well, the next thing I know I went to check on them and they were laughing and playing, but outside of the door I saw a little lock of hair. VERY BAD SIGN!

Here she is in the corner shortly after the incident. She chopped her bangs and added a few layers of her own. Quite the aspiring hairdresser!

Dawson was just a sweet innocent bystander that got in the way. We buzzed his head and you can still see the chops in his hair.

And apparently Aislyn thought he would be more comfortable in shorts and short sleeves. These are the cute pajamas that Grandma got him for Christmas. Sorry Grandma :-(

Even the pillows werent safe!

A word of advice.....KEEP YOUR SCISSORS UNDER LOCK AND KEY!

All about Alaina

Alaina is getting ready to start the second grade this year. She had an amazing year in the first grade with a great teacher. Alaina has been blessed to have her move up to the second grade as her teacher again . She couldnt be more excited about it. I am so proud of her, but also so sad to see her growing up so fast. She is a sweet, shy and very loving girl. She loves to camp at the beach and in the woods. I couldnt get her out of the water this summer at Lake Powell. Her favorite past time right now is doing puzzles and drawing. She loves to read in bed before falling asleep. I catch her in there all the time with a book open trying to sneak some reading instead of sleep. I think she has a bit of an artistic side to her too. She can draw better than I can and always fills the entire page with color. There is never a white spot when she is finished. She loves animals, especially the runts of the litters. She always names those as her favorites. She is just an all around big hearted girl and we love her!

All about Aislyn

Aislyn is going into the First Grade this year and couldnt be more excited or ready. She had a wonderful year in Kindergarten and absolutely fell in love with her teacher Mrs. Barganier. She is an outgoing, loving, funny, sassy, and extremely smart little girl. She brings so much joy and laughter into our home. She is a sassy little thing with the quickest come backs and outlook on life. She is always looking at things outside of the box. I just love it! She recently told me that she made a wish on a shooting star that she would be famous and be on magazines. She wanted me to take her to Target so she could check the magazines and see if it came true. Aislyn loves her family, her friends, school and church. I love watching her grow and learn and am anxious to see what amazing things she will do with her life. We love her so much!

All about Dawson

Dawson is my "Little Man". He has a deep raspy little man voice and walks around the house like a stud. He loves his baseball bats and swords. He has lost them on several occasions for using them for evil instead of good. :-) He loves his trucks and tractors that go everywhere with him, even to bed. He is going into his second year of Preschool and will be starting Kindergarten in 2011. I cant believe how fast he is growing up. He is the sweetest, funniest, most laidback boy ever. He loves his mommy so much and tells me regularly. "Mom, I like you and love you" He loves and adores his sisters! He definitely gets a little rough with them sometimes but plays very well along with them. He gives the best hugs and kisses and I just dont know what I would do without him. We love him so much!
